  • Marshall 5K

    Sunday, April 26

    We’ll be tabling at the annual Marshall Elementary School 5K Sunday April 26th! This fun-filled event brings the school and community together for a run/walk that begins and ends at Grove Park in South Orange. Runners and walkers of all ages, paces, and abilities are welcome. Come say hi or sign up to join the fun! 

    Team Unscreen is hosting a workshop about digital safety for Marshall 5th grade families so you can feel more equipped before Middle School begins. Stay tuned for more details!  

  • Digital Safety Workshop for Clinton 5th Grade Families

    Wednesday, May 6, 6:30-8 PM
    Founder’s Park Community Meeting Room

    As 5th graders prepare for middle school, join us for a conversation about digital safety, healthy tech habits, and practical guidelines for navigating devices, texting, and online platforms. The workshop will help families understand common online risks and share simple strategies for making devices safer for children. Parents will also have time to ask questions and discuss challenges many families are navigating right now.


  • Bike Around Bolden

    May 16, 2026, 10 AM - 12 PM
    Delia Bolden Playground

    Join us at Bolden for a morning of biking for for K-2nd graders. Get comfortable on two wheels at our mini clinic on the court, sharpen your skills on the track, and then reset with some time on the playground! Anything with two wheels welcome!

  • Marshall & South Mountain Digital Safety Workshop

    Weds. June 3, 2026, 6:30-8 pm
    Founder’s Park Community Meeting Room

    A workshop for 5th grade parents on navigating phones, Apps, and digital safety before Middle School. Group chats, gaming, and social media can bring connection — but also pressure, distraction, and safety risks. Come learn simple strategies to confidently navigate screens — together as parents.

Max Stossel from Social Awakening

Max Stossel is the Founder of Social Awakening, an organization dedicated to helping young people survive and thrive in the modern world.

Before working in this field Max was a media strategist with an extensive background in social media. In his talks, Max illustrates the specific ways it is is designed to be addictive & distracting, highlights how that's impacting our kids’ minds and gives recommendations on how to address some of the challenges you and your family are facing.
